For Rachel: A Capsule Wardrobe, With Love

Rachel has requested that I help her with her wardrobe for her new job, a teaching post in Price. Your wish, dear, is my command!

My offering: a capsule wardrobe that will give her the most options for the least money.

I reviewed Rachel's current offerings via webcam and picked these out as the most flexible pieces that she already has:

What Rachel Already Has

These items could make a pretty cute outfit on their own - especially if Rachel puts the navy blue shirt under the yellow striped top, with the collar peeking out.

Rachel was unsure about the necessity of buying formal things like a pantsuit; however, I hope that the outfits below show that one can wear professional level clothing without looking like a stuffed shirt.

To begin, the capsule - including items Rachel already owns, and some items with which she can expand her options:

By the way those pants are supposed to be navy blue. They come in navy, but the polyvore clipper won't pick up that image.

And now... the magic. Here are a few of the 64 different outfits I counted that Rachel could make with these items! I'm sure she could come up with more!
